Welcome to the Digital Literacy DVD’s. These disks have been designed to help you build upon the digital literacy occurring within your school community. They can be used as a starting point in devising your own program or as an aid to give you more ideas to extend upon the good work you are already doing.

The pack contains three disks in order to target each of the three most important elements of your school community – the students, the parents and community, and the school staff (leadership, teachers and SSO’s). The disks contain information and samples that we have found the most relevant in implementing a digital literacy program within our school. They contain such information as student work samples, outlines of units of work, administration notes and background information for running parent training sessions.

Each DVD has its own starter page that will explain more about its contents. The student disk and ‘parent and community’ disk have been specifically designed to be used by those mentioned. Please feel free to show the student disk to classes or allow parents to borrow the parent DVD from the school or show it at a parent evening.
